Collab Week!

TWO EVENTS This Week:

  1. TOMORROW, March 31st @ 6:30pm in C-104. We are collabing with the Briggs Women in Science (WIS) Group. We have invited Apryl Pooley; a MSU Neuroscience PhD candidate, author, and TEDXMSU 2015 speaker; to discuss her personal experiences, her research, and the path that led her to research on PTSD.
  2. WEDNESDAY, April 1st @ 5:30pm in C-106. We are collabing with Dr. LaDuca’s Senior Seminar and the MSU Bioethics Society. Dr. Largent; Historian of Science, Lyman Briggs Associate Dean, and author of Vaccine: The Debate in Modern America; will disentangle some of the competing claims in the vaccine debate, open the controversy for critical reflection, and provide recommendations for moving forward.

The History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science Student Association (HPSSA) was founded in January 2012 by students in Lyman Briggs, a residential college for the sciences at Michigan State University. History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science, often shortened HPS, plays an integral part in Lyman Briggs by bridging the sciences and humanities in student education.
